Today I helped cut these branches for our Wilrose tree, we're going to make our own decorations for it

Maori culture trip

We had a fantastic trip to the Mataatua marae in Whakatane. we saw a DVD of the history of the marae, a cool laser light show in the meeting house and a delicious hangi lunch. It was a great end for Maori culture for the year

Shortland Street

last week we had our Shortland Street visit in Auckland. Was great to see some celebrities!

Waipuna Park

last week we had a sports outing to Waipuna Park, I took my boomerang and had a go at throwing it

Art at Wilrose

at the moment we are creating a large collage. We made patterns with crayon and paint, then ripped the paper and stuck them down for the sky and land.

Maori Culture Trip

yesterday we had a good day out at Te Puia in Rotorua where we saw mud pools, geysers, Maori carvings and weaving.

Building and carving

In building and carving we are experimenting with making book shelves out of wooden crates. We've tried a few different finishes but have yet to decide what finish we will use

Oliver Production at Detour Theatre

last week we performed  our final Oliver production. It went really well and all our friends and family enjoyed it.

Last week we had a special celebration morning tea for our graduation from the Papa Ako 'Learning to Learn' programme. Shelley, Ani, Katiana and I received our certificates and invited our friends and family along to join us
