Secret Santa

Yesterday we had secret Santa I was so happy with my gift. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy new year. See you all next year.

Last week of the year

I have had the best year. I look forward to having a great summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you all next year. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Christmas party

We had our Christmas party yesterday. It was so much fun we had great food and entertainment and we were all together

music was great fun today. I sang some John Farnham I sounded like a rockstar

Drama

Yesterday I performed in front of my friends I was in a drama play called The Grinch who stole Christmas. It was fun I have enjoyed drama this year.

Arty

Nature

This week in learning through discovery we were outside in nature enjoying spiders and geckos I’m learning a lot.

Fundraiser vouchers

I went out to hands to heal to use up my massage voucher that I won in the fundraiser.I liked getting my knees and back massaged and the massage lady Karen was very nice. I felt so relaxed.After my massage I went with my mate to Worlds end for lunch. I had the wedges with bacon and cheese. It was tasty.

Swimming

Tuesday is our swimming day I really enjoy swimming here I am swimming with my mate Damon

Pamper Day

Today went turned our centre into a Dap Spa. What a lovely way to relax by having a face mask on.......aww bliss. I also got involved in the hair salon by getting blue colouring put in my hair.

Drama

Each week I head down to the historic village to practice the drama play. I practice very hard to remember my lines. My character is the town mayor and the play is about the Christmas grinch.

Hangi day

We enjoyed a beautiful Hangi and also dancing and singing which I love. The Hangi was beautiful.

Music

I enjoyed singing some songs from the movie dirty dancing and some other songs like be my little baby. 

Raffle winner

 Check me out  -  I won second prize in the raffle! What a lot of goodies! Lucky me!

Making a Xmas hat

I made a Xmas hat with reindeer on and black twirly things. I'm going to wear it to the Xmas do! We used a stapler, cello tape and scissors. 

Horse races

I enjoyed watching the horse races at the Tauranga race course. We did abit of research about the history of the racecourse and about horse racing before we went. Was great to see the horses in action!

Orchid show

I enjoyed seeing all the different types of orchid flowers at the orchid show. There were lots of different types of orchid to see and we I even got one to pin to my top.

Te Puna Quarry Park

I really like going to Te Puna Quarry Park and exploring. I'd love to have a BBQ there one day! 

Otanewainuku

The Learning through discovery group visited Otanewainuku Forest and I saw a fantail and a tub. The fantail might have been a baby as it was only little! We went for a walk through the forest - it was excellent!

Lawn Bowls

We tried Lawn Bowls with the sports group. I won one of the bowls games. I'd like to do it again! 

Katikati museum

I had a great day out - I enjoyed it very much my favourite part was churning the butter and eating the scone with jam. We also went for a lovely walk and had lunch at the park.

Circus tricks and pacific dancing

This week was filled with heaps of exciting things. We learned how to do pacific island dancing with a lady from Samoa she was real neat. Then we also had circus in a flash doing heaps of cool circus tricks like juggling hoola hooping and balancing. I think it was a real cool week

Oropi Hot Pools

We enjoyed a lovely morning at Oropi Hot Pools. The water was so warm and relaxing. It was great just chilling out and talking.

American Hot Dogs

We made American Hot Dogs in cooking this week. I really loved the onions, sauce and mustard.
