Xmas Necklace

Check out this awesome necklace I made with some Fimo Modelling Clay. We made them and then baked them in the oven and put them on some string! Cool!

Strawberry Picking

We went strawberry picking at Somerfields! There were millions of them! We found some big, juicy red ones and took them back to the centre to share with everyone!

Bread and Butter Pudding

We used some leftover food to make a delicious bread and butter pudding in our cooking session! 

Summer garden party

I had a great time at our BBQ and Summer garden party. I got a painted tattoo and had fun dressing up and dancing! Woohoo!

We made omelettes using the eggs from our new chickens. They were delicious.

Baby Donkey

I really enjoyed visiting a baby donkey and some other animals. The baby donkey was really friendly. We fed the other donkeys some carrots but the baby donkey doesn't have teeth yet!

Ti Rakau

We made our own Maori Sticks for a game in Maori Culture this week. It was fun to try to use them and I found out I was quite good at it!

Work Experience

I really enjoyed doing some work experience collecting trolleys at The Warehouse in Fraser Cove. I put on my safety high vis and I feel like I did a great job. Everyone was so nice! 

Cooking

I helped to make this delicious pumpkin soup in cooking.

Maori culture

We are having fun playing our ukuleles so everyone can sing along.

Elms mission house

We went to visit the Elms mission house in town and go to do a tour of the house and grounds. Everything is so old but in really good condition. We learnt about the people who built the house and some history of Tauranga. It was really interesting and I had a great time.

Citizens Club

We walked up Courtney road and took a bus to the Citizens Club for lunch. I had steak and chips. It was awesome.

My job

Almost every Friday, I go down to the Greerton pawn and 2nd hand shop and work there for the afternoon. My boss Stu is really nice and he has a awesome ginger kitty who hangs around work and keeps me company while I do my job. I help out in the workshop and sweep the floors. I really like going down to work.

Sketching

We looked at a huge mural in town. I think it would have taken a lot of paint to make it and we visited the Zeus gallery.

Maori culture

We were learning how to say how we were feeling in Maori Culture today! "Kei Te Tino pai",

Mount Truck Wash

We went to see some awesome trucks getting cleaned at the Mount Truck Wash. I thought about how great it would be to be a truck driver. I really liked this big red truck - It was huge!

Ohinemutu Marae

We visited Ohinemutu Marae and saw some awesome things. I really liked the stained glass window in the church which looked like Jesus was waking on water.

Portrait sketching

I had lots of fun doing some portrait sketching. I was really happy with how it turned out!

Cooking

We made a delicious quiche in cooking. I helped to make the base for it.

Active gym

We had a great time on this new active ageing gym. It was great for strength building.

Classic cars

I really liked the old school bus at the car museum. It was a great day.

Yatton park

I enjoyed our walk around Yatton park this week

Volunteer group

Our volunteer group picked up rubbish on the Scantlebury Boardwalk this week. We found bottles that we put in the rubbish.

Cooking

I chopped most of the veggies for our cooking groups' fllled omelette. It tasted good!
